Template Library Overview
One of the best features of The Bookshelf is its selection of professionally-designed website templates. These are created so that authors don't have to build their new websites from scratch, and can instead use professional, genre-focused and purpose-focused templates as the starting structure for building their own great website.
Accessing the Library
To access the current Template Library and explore available templates, simply log into your Bookshelf account and click on "Page Builder" in the left-side main menu:

Currently, all available templates will automatically appear inside your account, and you can edit any of them as much as you'd like. Please note, however, that you can only make a single template or site live online at any one time.
Using a Template
The name of the template appears at the top left of each individual template selection, and is meant to provide an idea of the recommended genre or purpose of the template:

To preview the template as it currently looks (including any edits you might have made to it), click on the eye symbol in the lower right corner. This will open a separate browser tab where you can view the pages of the website as a visitor would currently see it if you published it live:

To either delete a template from your library or automatically push it live, click on the kebab menu in the upper right corner, and make your selection:

To make edits to a template, click "Edit Template" in the lower left corner. This will automatically take you away from the Template Library and open the selected template in the Builder tool, where you can then make your adjustments to it:

Additional Notes
As mentioned, all available templates are currently displayed simultaneously within your account's Page Builder. You can edit as many as you would like, but only one can be made live at a time.
Additional templates will continue to roll out for use on The Bookshelf, providing an even larger array of genres and functional purposes to explore. So be sure to check the Library frequently for exciting new options!
Authors are highly encouraged to make content edits to any template they intend to make live as their official website. All text, logos, and images are placeholder content created by our team meant to serve as representational or guiding examples of content authors should consider having on their own websites. Be sure to replace any placeholder content that does not apply to your unique author business, books, or brand before publishing your site live.
It's also important to note that once edits are made to a template inside the Builder, that template will retain those edits, even if the site is not published live, if you leave the Builder, or you log out of your account. If for any reason you would like to reset a template to its original design, please contact our team at support@thebookshelf.io for assistance.
